There is a bunch of DIY options when it comes to facial care that includes extremely beneficial ingredients that can easily be found on our kitchen shelves. We bring you 5 recipes for the perfect treatment of your face for which your schedule and your wallet will be thanking you.

Honey mask

- 2 tablespoons of honey

- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

- 1 slice of fresh lemon

Preparation: warm the honey a little bit and mix it with the cinnamon and the lemon juice from that 1 lemon wedge. Combine it all together in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash it off after with warm water. The cinnamon will help with inflammation reduction and it will reduce the excess oil from the skin. Lemon is perfect when it comes to getting rid of dark spots and exfoliation.

Chocolate mask

- ½ cup of cocoa powder

- 3 tablespoons of oat

- 4 tablespoons of cream

- ¼ cup of honey

Preparation: simply combine all the ingredients together and gently massage it into your skin. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and wash it off after with warm water. The tasty smell that lingers on your face is another plus. When applied topically, dark chocolate increases the production of collagen, which provides our skin with the best anti-aging properties.

Banana mask

- 1 medium banana

- ¼ cup of plain yogurt

- 2 tablespoons of honey

- ½ teaspoon of lemon juice

Preparation: mash the banana until it becomes a creamy paste and combine it with yogurt, lemon, and honey. Apply the paste-like cream to your face and let it stay for about 15 minutes, after which you’ll rinse it off with cold water. Since banana is full of potassium, vitamins E and C, as well as of moisture, it will provide your skin with a healthy glow.

Yogurt mask

  - 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt

  - ¼ slice of orange

  - 1 teaspoon of aloe

Preparation: combine the yogurt with the squeezed orange juice and aloe, and let it sit for 20 minutes. After that, apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 5 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water.   Yogurt is good for cleansing and tightening the skin.

Oatmeal mask

- ½ cup of hot water

- 1/3 cups of oatmeal

- 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt

- 2 tablespoons of honey

- 1 small egg white

Preparation: warm up the water (but don’t boil it), mix it with the oatmeal and let it sit for few minutes. After that combine it with the yogurt, honey, and egg white. Apply a layer of the mixture to your skin and leave it for about 10-15 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water. Oatmeal is perfect for skin recovery and reduction of itching and inflammation.
