While thick, luxuriant hair has always been desired amongst woman population, when it comes to brows, there was a time when thin eyebrows were “in”. That times are definitely over and today big, thick eyebrows are popular. We could say it’s not easy to be a woman these days. While we are expected to be hairless on all our body parts except the head, when it comes to facial hair, big eyelashes, lush hair and thick, tidy eyebrows are an ideal of female beauty! Not fair, right? Well, at least the cosmetic field is advancing every day, so even those women who are not blessed with rich facial hair are able to get artificial, but very natural-like brows, lashes, and hair. If you are one of these “unblessed” women, but still don’t want the artificial stuff on your head and face, we have good news for you! There are natural ways to boost your facial hair growth and make them stronger, thicker and healthier.
Castor oil or Ricinus communis is the number one, according to many studies. Its main ingredients, such as ricinoleic acid, vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids and minerals, are the main reason why castor oil is the perfect solution for many hair problems, as split ends, dry scalp, thinning hair, or hair growth… Furthermore, it has potent antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties, which help with scalp infections.
Hair growth
Studies have shown that treating your hair with castor oil boosts your regular hair growth by three to five times. Another plus is the fact that your hair becomes considerably thicker and stronger. This particularly helps with making eyelashes and eyebrows more noticeable.
How to use it
In order to achieve a faster hair growth, the best option is to make a mixture:
- 1 tablespoon of castor oil
- 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil
- few drops of rosemary essential oil
When you mix all the oils together, simply massage it into your scalp, after which you need to apply it to your hair strands. You can wash it off after one hour, but you can also leave it overnight if you prefer.
Tip: for other hair goals, use the different mixtures:
- for dandruff 2 tablespoons of castor oil, 1 tablespoon of aloe vera and a few drops of tea tree essential oil;
- for dry and damaged hair 1 tablespoon of castor oil and 2 tablespoons of argan oil;
- for hair fall 1 tablespoon of castor oil, 1 tablespoon of almond oil and a few drops of clary sage essential oil;
- for split ends 1 tablespoon of castor oil, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 egg.
For treating your eyebrows and eyelashes, simply apply gently the oil on the hairs and leave it on without rinsing. Keep this a daily routine and you should see the results after 4 to 8 weeks. So, what you’re waiting for? Run to the nearest pharmacy and get your bottle!
