Keep your waist slim and bloat-free

It's almost June and we are exactly one month away from summer. If you’ve been diligent and have stuck through your New Year’s resolution about training and dieting for summer, you’ve probably become very confident about your summer body by now. However, even though now it's a bit late to start preparing your body for summer, there are some tips and foods that can help speed up the process (or help you maintain your current achievements). First of all, the main key is to keep your focus and stay persistent. When you get used to consuming the right type of food, you'll never want to go back. Here's a list of the food that will help you avoid bloating and keep your tummy slim.

Food high in fiber

Groceries that are rich in fiber are the number one food when it comes to weight loss. They help speed up the metabolism and remove fat and toxins from your body. You can find online a bunch of tasty recipes that include food with a high level of fiber, such as cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, artichokes, etc. Fruit rich in fiber: pears, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries…

Eggs

Eggs are replete with protein, fat and amino acids which are great for avoiding overeating because they make you feel full. The protein helps with burning fat and also builds muscles. The best of all, there are a zillion ways to make them, so everybody can find the perfect meal for themselves that includes eggs.

Fruit

Lots of fruits have amazing properties for keeping slim waist. Apples are filled with enzymes which help with reducing cellulite, as they improve the digestive system and so reduce the fatty deposits in the body. Grapefruit is full of water, which means it’s great for hydration. Since it’s full of vitamin C, it’s also great for skin. Strawberries are an incredible source of vitamin C – an antioxidant that will help you look younger. There are numerous great recipes for healthy snacks with strawberries, just “Google it” and enjoy this tasty fruit. One average serving of strawberries (150 g) contains around 50 calories and 3 grams of fiber. Similar to strawberries, tomatoes are also a great source of antioxidants and Vitamin C. Furthermore, tomatoes contain lycopene and other phytochemicals, known for benefits against cancer.

Bananas are a synonym for the perfect snack. They’re loaded with potassium making them ideal summer food. Potassium helps removing water and sodium from our system, two ingredients that are responsible for bloated feeling and look. On the other hand, try to avoid potato chips as much as you can. It’s a favorite beach snack but replace it with something from this list, because chips are filled with sodium.  As for bananas, not only that they’re a great source of potassium, but they also stimulate bloat-fighting bacteria in our stomach. To conclude, bananas = flat stomach!

Hydration (Water, Green Tea…)

Being hydrated is one of the most important things to look out for, especially in summer. Some people may think that water or tea will make bloating even worse, but that’s definitely not true. Truth is completely opposite. By drinking enough fluids, we signal the body that it doesn’t need to hold onto every drop of water in our system. As for green tea, not only that it will make you hydrated, but it also has extraordinary health benefits, such as lowering cholesterol, fighting cancer and heart disease…
